How much is the candy - 02/01/2013

Let’s warm up with this puzzle!
In the AppleLand the currency is very interesting one.
They don’t deal with money, but apples.
Unfortunately, coins from other lands are collected in the exchange offices through AppleLand
and now the situation is very chaotic.
There are round coins, triangular coins and square coins.
We know that 11 round coins are worth 15 apples,
11 square coins are worth 16 apples and
11 triangular coins are worth 17 apples.
Now, if a candy is worth 11 apples – how many round, triangular or square coins
would be required in order to purchase a candy?

According to the information given, one round coin is worth 15/11 of an apple, one square coin is worth 16/11 of an apple, and one triangular coin is worth 17/11 of an apple. The candle therefore could be bought with one square coin and seven round coins.
